About

A comprehensive disability law and estate planning firm in Boston, Massachusetts.
Jason Prokowiew started Prokowiew Law in 2011 to meet the diverse legal needs of people with disabilities. His interest in disability law began around 1996 when Jason's friend revealed her own physical disability. As Jason witnessed her navigate a world primarily designed for those without disabilities, his passion for disability equality grew.
While at the Massachusetts School of Law, Jason designed a major in disability law and litigation. As President of the school’s Diversity Alliance, he focused on disability law, and invited Boston’s Disability Law Center (DLC) to speak to students about the Americans with Disabilities Act. After law school he served as a volunteer attorney at DLC, first on the intake unit, where he was exposed to a broad range of disability issues including benefits, housing rights, special education, and mental health.
In addition to Jason's pro bono work for disabled clients through the Volunteer Lawyers Project, he serves on the Committee for Public Counsel Service’s Mental Health Trial Panel, providing support, advocacy and aggressive representation to clients facing commitment to private facilities in the Commonwealth.
